My husband and I were having a discussion one morning about one of the practices that’s been really powerful for us and I’d like to share it with you.
Look for the good and praise it.
We look for the good in each other, in our kids, in the world, in the people we work with, in nature, and in everything. We find the good and then praise it. Speak it out loud.
There is actually research now out of the University of Pennsylvania, in modern psychology, that shows it improves our immune system to be in gratitude. Our bodies like it when we are praising, when we are appreciating, when we are in gratitude.
Today, try to remember to look for the good in the moment. Look for the good in the person you are with, in the activity you are doing and speak a word of praise. Look for the good and praise it.
