A wise ten year old once said to me, “You know, a pessimist looks at a glass and says, ‘that glass is half empty.’ An optimist looks at a glass and says, ‘that glass is half full.’ But I look at that same glass and I say, ‘this glass is refillable.’”
I love that, don’t you? It means that you can look at anything and decide to invite more good into the situation.
Anytime you’re looking at something and you’re not at peace, recognize that you have the power to choose again. Instead of seeing what’s lacking, you can see an opportunity to refill the glass.
