I once read, “All children need a laptop.” Not a mechanical laptop, but a human laptop –A place they can go where they can feel comforted and safe; they can be told stories, be encouraged and can learn.
I think adults need a laptop, too. This could be a friend who listens to us with compassion, or perhaps just someone we can spend quality time with, sharing stories or watching a movie.
A laptop gives us a moment of feeling connected, safe and secure. Today, let us each be a laptop for someone, and find our own laptop, too.
