What the Dalai Lama Told Me About His Enemies That Will Cause You to Rethink Your Relationships

Many years ago, I received an invitation to travel to Dharamsala, India, the seat of Tibet’s government in exile, to meet His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

The group I represented at the time was to be interviewed to see whether or not we would have the opportunity to co-facilitate three week-long meetings with the Dalai Lama and other world leaders, to discuss how to solve the world’s most pressing problems.

Naturally, I said “Yes!”

A Simple Gratitude Practice to Bring to Your Thanksgiving Dinner Table

It’s sometimes easy to forget that Thanksgiving isn’t just about turkey and pumpkin pie.

Thanksgiving is about reflecting on and appreciating all of the good things that we have in our lives.

Many people will sit around their Thanksgiving dinner table and share something that they feel grateful for, and this is a wonderful way to set the tone for a heartfelt gathering.

But instead of just sharing one thing that you’re grateful for, although you could do that…

10 Simple Ways to Spice Up a Stale Relationship on thebridalbox.com

Over the years, I’ve worked with countless clients who looked like they “had it all” from the outside: fulfilling careers, comfortable lives, and beautiful families.

Yet after just a few minutes of speaking with them, they’d often confess that something BIG was missing from their lives. Despite their success, they found themselves struggling to connect with their long-term partners.

And every time I meet someone who’s run into this kind of roadblock in their relationship, I think back to something that happened to me many years ago.

Is It “Unspiritual” to Love Money?

Is it wrong to love money? Does loving money make you a less spiritual person?

I used to think so… until an evening in an auditorium changed everything.

He was highly successful, to the point where he was filling Lincoln Hall every week in New York City, while teaching people how to transform their lives.

You Were Born to Be Happy, Not Perfect

“One of the basic rules of the universe is that nothing is perfect. Perfection simply doesn’t exist. Without imperfection, neither you nor I would exist.”

~Stephen Hawking, Physicist

So many of us strive for perfection in our daily lives.

In the media and all around us, we are continually exposed to images of the perfect body, the perfect family, the perfect career, the perfect life and the perfect home.

The pressure to be perfect can sometimes feel overwhelming, and this can cause us to make an enormous effort to ensure that nobody finds out what’s really going on “behind the scenes” of our life.

Are You “Pretending,” Just So That Others Will Like You? Here’s My Story…

Have you ever found yourself pretending to be someone you’re not in front of someone you wanted to impress, only to have it backfire on you in the end?

Are You Pretending so others like you?

So often, we pretend to be someone we’re not around people whose approval we crave, instead of being authentic.

We may stifle our true feelings, and not express ourselves fully, in order to gain love, respect or acceptance from friends, family, colleagues or clients — and sometimes, even total strangers.

Who Is In Your Positive Circle of Influence?

Entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker, Jim Rohn, once said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

I invite you to pause for a moment to absorb the significance of that statement.

Next, think about the five people with whom you spend most of your time.

If you combine the annual income of those five people and divide it by five, chances are this is approximately the same amount of income that you earn.

Those of us who’ve studied the art and science of transformation, including Jim Rohn, understand that it’s extremely important to surround yourself with positive influences when you are pursuing your dreams.
